Ustaz Pasuni Bin Maulan is one of Singapore’s most respected and experienced Kadi figures, with more than five decades of service in Muslim marriage solemnisation, religious leadership, and community development. A former Registrar of the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM), he played a significant role in shaping and strengthening the Muslim marriage framework in Singapore while guiding thousands of couples through their Akad Nikah and marriage journey.

Widely recognised for his contributions to the Muslim community, Ustaz Pasuni served as Singapore’s second Registrar of Muslim Marriages from 1984 to 2005 and remains an influential figure in marriage education, family development, and religious governance. His dedication to strengthening Muslim families continues through initiatives such as Bersamamu, a programme he helped establish to provide ongoing support and mentorship to newly married Muslim couples in Singapore.

Beyond his work in marriage solemnisation, Ustaz Pasuni has held numerous leadership positions within major Islamic institutions. He serves as a member of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), has chaired the Asatizah Recognition Board (ARB), and has contributed extensively to the development of Singapore’s religious education and asatizah professional standards. His longstanding service has earned him recognition as a distinguished religious teacher and community leader.

In recognition of his lifelong contributions, Ustaz Pasuni was awarded the “Anugerah Kadi Sepanjang Hayat” (Lifetime Achievement Award) for his decades of service to Muslim marriages and family development in Singapore. Couples seeking a highly experienced Singapore Kadi can look to his legacy as one that has helped shape generations of Malay Muslim marriages, solemnisation practices, and family support initiatives across the nation.
